Arkadiusz Burda
"In front of The Padua"

Arkadiusz Burda – Polish painter, graphic artist, and poet. He says about himself: “I am a self-taught artist, I suffer from paranoid schizophrenia. I have been involved in art my entire life, mainly working with acrylic and oil painting, watercolors, and graphic art. I create black-and-white and color linocuts at the Great Market Square in Zamość (from May to the end of September, my work can be seen in front of The Padua restaurant). I have been creating linocuts for twenty-eight years. This graphic technique has become the closest to my heart and is now my primary form of artistic expression.”

Arkadiusz Burda's works have been exhibited in many galleries in Poland, including the Museum of the Biłgoraj Region in Biłgoraj, Kreatywni – Creative Gallery in Zamość, Chatka Żaka in Lublin, Zamość Cultural Center in Zamość, as well as in Innsbruck, Austria, as part of the Polish Art Exhibition.

In 2004, the artist won the 17th Literary Competition “Debiuty” (Debuts), organized by the Zamość Cultural Center. In the same year, he published his first poetry collection, “Atma.” In 2015, another collection entitled “Arcyludzkie obce” was published, and in 2022 - “S tworzenie”.

The exhibition can be viewed until November 8, 2024. We cordially invite you to visit!
