Marcin Wrzal
Apiary Reds, or Metamorphoses
The work of Marcin Wrzal exists at the intersection of intuition, expression, and conscious deformation. Rather than illustrating reality, the artist transforms it, filtering it through experience, tension, and gesture. Each painting functions as an autonomous structure, resisting closed and unambiguous interpretation.
Fragments of the body, organic elements, and hybrid forms appear throughout his paintings. These elements do not construct a clear narrative, but instead operate as arrangements of visual events.
The use of negative space and the fluid interpenetration of compositional elements intensify the sense of ambiguity, leaving the viewer with an active role in the process of interpreting the works.
This is painting that does not impose a narrative, but initiates a process of seeing.
