In May, Galeria Art Brut presents Discovery A, an exhibition by twenty-one-year-old Aleksandra Grajper from Hańsk. Her mother, Anna, gently offers insight into her daughter’s artistic vision, sharing Aleksandra’s own words:

"Art is my entire world, a realm in which I can express myself and communicate with others at the level I feel most profoundly. Being on the autism spectrum, I have discovered that creating provides a unique space to convey emotions and thoughts that are sometimes difficult to articulate verbally. Every piece I produce forms part of my personal narrative and allows me to establish a genuine, passionate connection with the surrounding world."

Although Aleksandra experiences significant hesitation about parting with her small sculptures and drawings for the duration of the exhibition, the opportunity to share her work with the public—and with the guidance of her mother as the exhibition’s curator—may allow her to cross a new threshold in her life. This stage offers her the chance to enrich the wider audience, often unaware of the depth and richness of the souls they encounter.
