Adam Saran
My Friends’ Animal Kingdom
– In the Pyramid of Animals
Can we ever truly know a person? No – never completely. A human being is a complex existence. Did Adam Saran – painter and actor – reveal a glimpse of truth about each of his “friends”? That remains his secret.
Forty-two figures are immersed in the colourful bodies of animals, painted with great sensitivity and expression. By what key does the artist choose the animals? Who stands at the top of the pyramid? Who is hidden? Who dominates? Who inspires with wisdom, cunning, or humility? Who brings humour, and who conceals themselves…? Which traits of animals has the artist truly assigned to humankind? Let each viewer seek their own answer when confronted with themselves, their personality, their very being.
Together with Polish Radio Lublin, we invite you to listen to an interview with Adam Saran and the artist’s mother, painter Małgorzata Wzorek-Saran, in the programme "Not Just an Entertaining Radio Sunday".
